About the Author
Chad Guidry is the youngest of three children, grew up hunting and fishing in the Atchafalaya Basin, and was inspired at an early age, mesmerized by the attractions and beauty of America's largest river swamp. He started taking pictures as a teenager, hoping to capture the beauty of the basin and share his vision, photography, and culture with the world. As a lifelong resident of Lafayette, Louisiana, he grew up fishing in the bayous and swamps with his father and siblings and admiring the beauty and embracing the lifestyle that is unique to the Cajun culture. His photography and design has earned three national Catholic Press Awards for design and production in the magazine Acadiana Catholic, produced through the Diocese of Lafayette. Yvette Naquin is one of six children and has lived in Louisiana most of her life. From a very young age she loved photography and art, and has become a self-taught graphic designer and former owner of a printing, design and marketing company, providing services for companies around the world. Her photography and design has earned her three national Catholic Press Awards for design and production in the magazine Acadiana Catholic, produced through the Diocese of Lafayette. Her inspiration in designing and creating Louisiana Through My Lens was to have the viewer take a photographic journey in his or her own imagination. She is a Texas Native and 20 year resident of Lafayette, Louisiana.
