Landscapes of Coral Gables, a hardcover of 53 black-and-white photographs of the City Beautiful's landmark buildings and landscapes, features the Biltmore Hotel, the Venetian Pool and the Alhambra water tower, as well as Fairchild Tropical Garden and some private residences.
The book is dedicated to the memory of George Merrick, who planted Coral Gables brick by brick, and to Frank Button, who planted it tree by tree. This marriage of architecture and natural environments truly makes Coral Gables a City Beautiful.
A portion of the proceeds from the book- sales will go to preserve Pine Wood Cemetery Landscaping
"'Landscapes of Coral Gables' is a wonderful publication, which celebrates the city and its history. I cannot think of a better way to showcase that than with Robert Klemm's photographs." - Cathy Swanson, Coral Gables Director of Economic Development.
