About the Author

Dongke Zhang is Winthrop Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Western Australia (UWA) and Director of the UWS's Centre for Energy. He has conducted extensive research into fuel processing and conversion, and combustion science and technology with a specific focus on coal, natural gas and bioenergy.
