BRUCE MCCONACHIE is Professor of Theatre Arts and Performance Studies at the University of Pittsburgh, USA. His publications include Engaging Audiences: A Cognitive Approach to Spectating in the Theatre; Performance and Cognition: Theatre Studies And the Cognitive Turn (co-edited with H. Elizabeth Hart) and Theatre Histories: An Introduction (co-written with Phillip Zarrilli, Carol Sorgenfrei, and Gary Williams).
